FSA Consulting designed a sedimentation basin system and feedpad for a dairy operated by Mr Brett Shaw of Finley, southern NSW. The dairy had an existing sedimentation that was undersized and difficult to manage.

Using the DairyBal model developed by DPI, Queensland, manure estimations were calculated and the new basin was designed to hold four weeks of manure.

The surface area of the designed feedpad area was approximately 2100 m 2 . This feedpad was designed so that it could be covered at a later date.
