Simon completed his Environmental Engineering degree in 1997. Upon graduating Simon trained over the 1997/98 summer as a Trade Waste Officer with the Bundaberg City Council. He subsequently was employed as a Project Engineer by Gilbert and Sutherland Pty Ltd. This consultancy specialises in the assessment and management of soil and water resources. Since September 1998, Simon has worked as a Project Engineer with Feedlot Services Australia Pty Ltd. This firm trades as - FSA Environmental and FSA Irrigation. Simon has worked under both arms.
