Kelly completed her B. Environmental Science degree in November 2004, majoring in physical geography. She undertook her honours thesis with NSW DPI in Tamworth, studying hydraulic conductivity flow in red Chromosol and black Vertosol soils in the Timbumburi sub-catchment.
Kelly worked in Cambodia for 2 months in 2005 on NSW DPI / ACIAR project as an entomologist assistant, producing a pest and beneficial insect field guide for Cambodian farmers for peanut, sesame, cowpea, mungbean, corn and soybean crops. Kelly then travelled overseas for the rest of 2005.
Kelly Baker started with FSA Consulting in January 2006 as a Research Scientist.
